You felt led. You followed. And now the people you love think you've lost your mind.
Maybe it's a job you left, a relationship you ended, a direction you took that you can't fully defend on paper. The obedience made sense to you, but it makes no sense to anyone else. That's disorienting. It can make you question whether you actually heard God right.
Jesus was direct about this: "The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you" (John 15:19, NLT). Your obedience doesn't have to make sense to everyone else. You don’t owe anyone an explanation. You just have to be faithful to what God asked.
Pray: God, it's hard when the people I love think I'm making a mistake. Give me confidence in what you've called me to, even when I can't defend it perfectly. Help me stay faithful to you, even when it's confusing to everyone else. Amen.
